The CKWC Representatives

Austin Gomez — Gomez has competed up at 70kg since the Paris Olympics and has fared well in 2025, rolling to a Pan American title in May after claiming bronze at the first UWW Ranking Series event in Zagreb last February. Most recently, Gomez defeated former world champion Iszmail Muszukajev, 10-0, in the Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial quarterfinals in July before withdrawing with injury. Gomez, a two-time NCAA All-American, transferred to Michigan at the 2023-24 semester break and posted a 13-3 record with runner-up finishes at the Big Ten and NCAA Championships. He is a Mexican citizen on his father’s side.

Real Woods — After joining the Cliff Keen WC last fall, Woods qualified for his first world team is just his first season of domestic freestyle competition. He took fourth place at the U.S. Open in April then won the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament to punch his ticket to Final X, where he swept the best-of-three championship series, 7-3 and 5-4, against Joey McKenna. In all, Woods has previously competed in just five total freestyle tournaments — one being the Muhament Malo last February in Albania, where he took bronze at 65kg. Woods was a four-time NCAA All-American at Stanford and Iowa, including an 141-pound finalist in 2023.
